American Cancer Society

Good Morning everyone, I am so happy to announce that I will be helping a local hospital raise money for the American Cancer Society/Relay for Life by taking photographs for two days for a mini Easter sessions photography setup. This is such a special and meaningful event to me. I would like to share just a little piece of my heart with you this morning. The first love of my life my four year old amazing daughter, Shayla, passed away from Cancer at the very young age of only four. This has been many years ago but is still very fresh in my mind. I believe when something like this happens in your life it leaves a impression in your heart and soul and you never really recover. I have since moved forward and found happiness in life because I know my daughter would not want me to be sad and not find meaning in life. I watched her struggle for several years with this horrid disease before she passed and I seen her over come obstacles that doctors said she would not. Her strength, happiness for life and the way I saw her touch others lives gives me the strength for a life time to carry on until we are together again someday. She was always smiling and such a fighter! I am so proud and honored that God gave me this amazing little miracle to share four wonderful years with. I never have and never will see this time in my life as a burden. It was hard at times to walk with her through this time in her life to feel so helpless as there were times there was nothing I could do. As you all know as being Mothers that is one of the hardest moments of being a mom is not being able to help your child or fix issues for them. She taught me so many things about life and about truly living life! I refuse to let her down. I refuse to let her see me struggle and lay down because she can not be by my side as she is always in my heart! She never stopped fighting, living and loving life! How can I not do the same? The answer is I WON'T! I will make her proud and I will honor her and I will love her always as I know we will be together again someday. That is why this event is so important to me. It gives me that opportunity to honor her! This is one of the reasons I love photography so much. I get to see happiness and to make children smile! To be able to take both of these wonderful loves and combine them to help others is such a gift to me! Thank you for taking the time to listen to my story. To my little piece of life that makes my giant puzzle of what makes me, of what makes Butterfly Kisses Photography, LLC so important to me! Please like and share my story and share this flyer attached as I want to make this an amazing event! Shayla until we meet again my love know that mommy is loving life and making the best of it because you taught me this and you taught me that we ONLY GET ONE! Make it count people!https://www.facebook.com/amylancasterphotography/
